Alhamdulillah it is with great delight that Ummah Welfare Trust exclusive UK tour for the start of 2014 has now come to and end.

In his first ever visit to the UK, Muhammad al Muqit toured Masjids with Ummah Welfare Trust. Beginning on 17th January, the tour covered England, Scotland and Wales and every event attendees listened live to his unique qiraat and anasheed.

The Messenger of Allah Sallallahu 'alaihi wasallam said: 'The one who recites the Qur'an and the one who listens to it have an equal share in the reward.' (Mustadrakul Wasa'il)

Muhammad al Muqit, at just 26 years of age, is a renowned Munshid hailing from Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Despite his tender age, his anasheed and qiraat have gained great acclaim in recent years.

He is currently studying at Imam Muhammad bin Saud University in Riyadh and will graduate this year (2014) with a degree in Usool al-Deen InshaAllah. He is a hafidh of the Qur'an and in his spare time teaches the Qur'an to children in Masjid al-Luhaydan. He is also the Mu'addhin of Masjid Malik Abdul Aziz.
